Park Bo-Ra

Abstract
Objective : The purpose The purpose of this study is to systematically review virtual reality rehabilitation treatment applied to elderly patients with Parkinson's disease to present its effectiveness and practicality for clinical intervention.

Methods : This study searched the papers from 2010 to 2019 through DBPIA, KISS, and RISS, and finally selected 4 jou rnals. A randomized controlled trials that applied virtu al reality rehabilitation treatment to elderly patients with Parkinson's disease was analyzed according to PICO(Patient, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome) format.

Results : The qu ality of the stu dy was evalu ated u sing the PEDro scale in a andomized controlled trials experimental study in which virtual reality intervention was performed in elderly patients with Parkinson's disease. The average PEDro score of the four was 6.75 points. The effectiveness of virtual reality rehabilitation treatment was analyzed in various ways, such as improving balance ability and improving quality of life.

Conclusion : Through this study, it was confirmed that virtual reality rehabilitation treatment can be used as an intervention for functional recovery in elderly patients with Parkinson's disease. It is expected to be used in future clinical trials for selection of interventions for elderly patients with Parkinson's disease.
